strategix amplifies its lead in the supply chain software market with sale to mission

multi-currency trading a key factor

Leading supply chain software provider Strategix has signed a deal with one of the UK's top loudspeaker manufacturers and distributors, Mission Symphonix Ltd, to provide its integrated suite of supply chain software.

Mission, having outgrown the functionality of its present software, selected Strategix on the basis of its strengths in sales, manufacturing, finance and worldwide distribution.

Steve Adams, the Mission IT Manager, said: "Mission supplies both independent retail outlets and high street stores in the UK, Europe, North America and the Far East. Given the international nature of our business the system needs to satisfy the financial requirements of world trading. Strategix fulfils all the criteria we laid down in the selection process."

Peter Lusty, Strategix Chief Executive, commented: "We recognised Mission's core business requirements: sophisticated currency management and optimum order processing and management. Strategix software is capable of growing and developing with the company, offering Mission an end to end and scaleable solution."

Mission, with its headquarters and warehouse in Huntingdon, has produced loudspeakers for 24 years. It was the first manufacturer to incorporate NXT technology into flat loudspeakers, and indeed the latest technology and manufacturing techniques have always been pivotal to Mission's success.

The best of breed Strategix software was therefore a natural choice for a fast growing company that now employs over a hundred people. Mission begins implementation of Strategix shortly and expects to be fully operational by the 1st August 2001.
