Strategix was confirmed as the software of choice for leading-edge supply chain businesses at the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2001 ceremony held at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair, London, on November 15th. Two of the six companies chosen to receive the prestigious trophies at the glittering gala evening - Fusion Provida and Eldis - are Strategix customers.

The standards were high. The judging process brought together a panel of senior supply chain consultants from Accenture and experts from Logistics Europe magazine. In the demanding and exhausting process of pursuing excellence, wherever it may occur in Europe, every one of the fourteen short-listed companies were visited and assessed.

Electronic component distributors Eldis Ltd (in partnership with Alstom) were selected for the Engineering Distributor/Retailer award, and Managing Director Dean Henry stepped up to receive the award (see picture right).

Pipeline specialists Fusion Provida won the Services and Utilities award sponsored by Viewlocity for their work as part of the Belfast Gas Supply Chain Alliance. Fusion's Sean O'Kane and Roger Willey of the Belfast Gas Supply Chain Alliance picked up the award from Nick Allen of Logistics Europe magazine, which runs the event, and Viewlocity's Neil Anderson.
